About me

At the age of three I made contact with dance. From the age of five to nine, artistic gymnastics took over and due to a matter of mental and physical health at the age of ten I returned to dance which, after years of academic training, would end up being my profession. I graduated from the Madrid Marienma Royal Professional Dance Conservatory at the age of twenty, specializing in classical dance. During these years in Madrid, I was able to delve into various arts and movement techniques. And on the other hand, due to the deep need to recover my health and return to myself, I began to experience different meditation techniques, the practice of Yoga and training in Ayurveda and Arun/conscious touch.

My career as a dancer begins with Carmen Roche in her Joven Ballet and continues with Pedro Berdäyes and Mónica Runde in 10&10 Danza, in Madrid.

At the age of twenty-four I decide to return to Vitoria, my hometown, and start my own project of artistic creation and dance teaching. Opening, together with my sister Dorleta Rojo, La Danzatería, a space for movement. For eight years we have worked with different local professionals on educational projects, social inclusion and with a therapeutic approach.

I begin to develop my work as a creator, through improvisation, for natural spaces and urban landscapes.

On a trip to New York City, I come into contact with the Gaga technique.

In 2015 we decided to close La Danzatería and give ourselves a time of reflection and pause. Time of artistic residences (Casa L'art, Conde Duque, Baratza).

At this time comes motherhood. Fact that changes the course of my life. A unique dance begins up to that moment. Accompanied dance. Giving Conscious Birth. Until then, the purest creation, by name, Misha. In a home birth, magical.

And that's where VaciArte was created to continue working with dance and my latest work: Camino.

In 2020, as a family, we decided to go to France. We arrived in Cratoule, being part of the Les Musarts work team, https://lesmusarts-cratoule.fr

In July 2021, we set out to create our own cultural project, creating the La vie en fleurs Association and launching a meeting space next to the Cèze River. That winter Alma came to our family and in the fall, the four of us decided to move to the French Pyrenees, to the Ariège, where I restarted my transmission of dance, taking MDC form. I am joining Espace Tívoli in Saint Girons, as an intervener until April 2024.

At present, a new project is born: La Bardana, in Gillué, Huesca.

The construction of a place for rest, connection, dance and spirit in the middle of wild nature.

The gestation that happens at the same time as a new being takes shape in me. The journey that continues full of Life.
